French photographer Piere Louis Ferrer is based in Paris and makes vibrant photographs of the Dordogne. By using infra-red lights he transforms the landscapes into surreal canary yellow or red environments.

All the natural colours of leaves and grass are transformed into bright yellow. Almost as if someone painted them before making the photo. It gives a surreal image of nature how we know it. It is interesting to see how our eyes disconnect from these non-matching color memories we have concerning the environments we live in.

“My artistic approach is based on the invisible and imperceptible. I work with invisible parts of light (infrared and ultraviolet) and with techniques like long exposure time to offer alternative views of our world”.
