Sacred Bloom

Russian photographer Veresk created the series ‘Sacred Bloom’, which gives an out of earth but serene feeling of belonging.

Veresk started her work by doing photo manipulations and painting. In her series Sacred Bloom you can see this almost fairy tale like figure floating in a carefully draped water surrounding.

It is as if she uses water paint to interfere in the colour of the water. Her reason for making her art is creating informational silence.

Veresk: ‘’Every day, minute, second the modern person is surrounded by the cocoon of branded stories and news. Even if you want to buy ketchup, you have to look at tomato fields, and read the stories full of misinformation about "our tomatoes are the red-ripest".
