Urban Geometry

Brisbane based photographer Homann shoots and edits his works mostly on an iPhone. Therefore he also won the International iPhone Photography Awards in the abstract category with his work titled ‘corrugations’.

“I was looking to take some photos in a rather cluttered, messy industrial space. As I became more frustrated at the lack of interesting images, my eye honed in on smaller details. A simple and striking black and white image of cardboard scraps resulted,” he said.

We find his work very appealing as it gives a cartoonish feeling whilst showing every day streets. What makes it interesting is that the eye is attracted to different objects. Homann plays with colours, texture and shapes to make us look further. He mentions on Instagram ‘urban geometry’ to support his works, and we find it very fitting.
