Photography Through the Glass
Capturing a situation where a relation between the viewer and the viewed one are separated by a thin layer of glass. Elias makes us look at people within an unaware state of being. Where we as viewer are challenged by looking at the situational details to fill in the gaps of the bigger narrative surrounding each subject.
For street photographer Elias, all situations on the street are appearing as a play. He tries to capture a context from his point of view. Leaving the viewer with the space to fill in the rest of the story. He is fascinated by observing how the perceiver and the perceived relate to one another. This series embodies that everything we see, no matter how detailed it is part of a macro-context in time.
