Photographer Azar created the series Cluster Eclipse to enhance the manner we look at things around us. The Philadelphia based photographer is Influenced by science fiction, plant intelligence, anxiety, and floral design
Azar’s abstract renderings of vibrant flora and fauna give us the challenge to decipher the several layers and materials portrayed. She utilizes over-exposure and digital errors to create seemingly strange looking landscapes and abstract patterns in and around nature. The images are vibrant and transfixing in their illogical renders of life. On purpose she uses new photographs of places from her childhood, as they illustrate the changes in tone and quality that developed and degraded with her life.
Her work excited us as there is a lot to perceive, as they combine different textures and patterns with landscapes that surround us. Each one of them is a bold statement whilst as a whole they fit as a puzzle. She makes us think about this pattern of re-looking at the environments you are familiair with to motivate us to have a closer look to learn more about your surroundings. Foremost by making us conscious about our daily habits that influence how we interact with the landscapes we live in. Here she succeeded as we enjoyed looking several times at her work in order to reveal unexpected viewpoints.
